- 3 to 4 lb. spareribs, cut into serving-size pieces
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 3/4 c. ketchup
- 3/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
Method
- Sprinkle ribs on both sides with salt and pepper; place in a shallow roasting pan.
- Lay onion slices over ribs.
- Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs.
- Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour; baste occasionally, turning ribs twice.
- Remove cover and bake 15 minutes longer.
