Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. oleo
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. plain mashed potatoes

Method

  • Combine 1 1/2 cups flour and yeast.
  • Heat milk, margarine, sugar and salt until warm.
  • Add flour mixture and potatoes.
  • Beat with mixer 30 seconds on low, then 3 minutes on high.
  • Stir in remaining flour with spoon.
  • Cover and chill 2 hours or overnight. Stir down; roll to 1/2-inch thickness.
  • Cut with doughnut cutter. Fry in hot oil until brown.
  • Dip in Donut Glaze.
