Ingredients
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. broccoli
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. milk
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cheese
- 1 small onion
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 3 to 4 slices bread
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Method
- Cook broccoli and onions; drain.
- Place in a 2-quart casserole dish.
- Melt butter, blend in flour, add milk and cook until it thickens; reduce heat.
- Add cream cheese and 3/4 of Cheddar cheese.
- Pour sauce over broccoli and mix.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Cut bread into large cubes, dip in melted butter.
- Place on top of casserole.
- Bake 1 hour at 350°.
