Ingredients

  • 150 grams shortcrust pastry
  • 75 grams plain biscuits
  • 50 grams melted butter
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk, plus extra for brushing.

Method

  • Firstly if choosing to make the pastry.
  • See attachment for recipe details.
  • Half the quantity to make 150g.
  • However you can use shop brought pastry.
  • Crush or blitz the biscuits to breadcrumb size.
  • In a bowl mix the rest of the ingredients together.
  • Roll the pastry out as stated in the recipe.
  • Pre heat the oven to gas mark 6/ 200c.
  • Pour the batter onto the pastry.
  • Fold all edges together and press down to keep it from splitting.
  • Place parcel on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
  • Brush with the milk.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Serve warm and with cream.
