Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. apple cider
- 2 Tbsp. candy red hots
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
- 2 medium apples, pared and diced
- 1 c. cream, whipped
- 9-inch pie shell, baked
Method
- Heat 3/4 cup of the cider with candy red hots.
- When candy is melted, add the gelatin and stir until dissolved; then stir in the remaining cider.
- Chill until the consistency of unbeaten egg whites; beat until foamy and frothy.
- Fold in diced apples, and whipped cream.
- Pour into the baked pie shell.
- Chill until firm.
