Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. apple cider
  • 2 Tbsp. candy red hots
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
  • 2 medium apples, pared and diced
  • 1 c. cream, whipped
  • 9-inch pie shell, baked

Method

  • Heat 3/4 cup of the cider with candy red hots.
  • When candy is melted, add the gelatin and stir until dissolved; then stir in the remaining cider.
  • Chill until the consistency of unbeaten egg whites; beat until foamy and frothy.
  • Fold in diced apples, and whipped cream.
  • Pour into the baked pie shell.
  • Chill until firm.
