Ingredients
- 8 slices bread
- 2 1/2 c. diced sharp cheese
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
Method
- Trim crust from bread.
- Butter bread and quarter each slice. Alternate layers of bread and cheese in baking dish, ending with cheese on top.
- Mix remaining ingredients; pour over layers. Cover and chill 6 hours or overnight.
- Bake, covered, at 325° for 45 minutes or until firm.
