Ingredients

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 1 1/2 sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c. orange juice
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder

Method

  • Stir almond extract into pie filling.
  • Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix oil, sugar, vanilla, and orange juice.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating 1 minute after each.
  • Mix flour and baking powder together, and add gradually to batter.
  • Put 1/2 the batter into greased 9 inch x 13 inch pan. Spread cherries over batter. Cover with remaining batter.
