Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 (11 1/2 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In one bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In separate bowl, mix butter, brown sugar, and sugar.
- Add vanilla, egg, and egg yolk to the wet ingredients (butter, brown sugar, sugar mixture).
- Mix well.
- Add dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt) to wet mixture.
- Add chocolate chips, mix until chips are incorporated.
- By hand, roll pieces of dough into 1 1/4 inch balls then flatten until approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
- Place on cookie sheet covered by parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes.
- Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- The earlier you take them out, the chewier they will be.
