Ingredients
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (1 lb.)
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 c. Prego spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. dried parsley flakes (8 oz. dry)
Method
- Flatten chicken to an even thickness, using palm of hand or meat mallet.
- Dip chicken in egg; coat with bread crumbs.
- In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot margarine, cook chicken until browned on both sides.
- Add spaghetti sauce.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cheeses and parsley.
- Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
- Serve over hot spaghetti.
