Ingredients

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (1 lb.)
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 c. Prego spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley flakes (8 oz. dry)

Method

  • Flatten chicken to an even thickness, using palm of hand or meat mallet.
  • Dip chicken in egg; coat with bread crumbs.
  • In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot margarine, cook chicken until browned on both sides.
  • Add spaghetti sauce.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with cheeses and parsley.
  • Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
  • Serve over hot spaghetti.
