- 1- 1/2 cup Mashed Bananas
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1/2 cups Dutch-Processed Cocoa Powder, Sifted
- 13 cups Brown Sugar (light Or Dark)
- 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 2 cups Milk
- 2- 1/2 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Sugar (or Granulated Sugar)
- 1 whole Banana, Peeled And Sliced
- Chocolate Curls
Method
- Recipe makes one 8x8-square pan or one deep dish pie plate.
- Preheat oven to 350 F and spray baking pan with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine all of the oatmeal ingredients except the oats.
- Whisk to combine, making sure there are no cocoa powder lumps.
- Stir in the oats and pour into the prepared baking dish.
- Place dish on a sheet pan and bake in oven for 45 minutes.
- Eat warm or cool to room temperature and garnish as directed below.
- To garnish the cool oatmeal, whip heavy cream with sugar to stiff peaks.
- Use a pastry bag fitted with a star tip to pipe a decorative border of whipped cream around the top of the oatmeal.
- Evenly distribute sliced bananas and chocolate curls on top of whipped cream.
- Refrigerate leftovers.
