Ingredients

  • 1- 1/2 cup Mashed Bananas
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1/2 cups Dutch-Processed Cocoa Powder, Sifted
  • 13 cups Brown Sugar (light Or Dark)
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2- 1/2 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Sugar (or Granulated Sugar)
  • 1 whole Banana, Peeled And Sliced
  • Chocolate Curls

Method

  • Recipe makes one 8x8-square pan or one deep dish pie plate.
  • Preheat oven to 350 F and spray baking pan with non-stick spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine all of the oatmeal ingredients except the oats.
  • Whisk to combine, making sure there are no cocoa powder lumps.
  • Stir in the oats and pour into the prepared baking dish.
  • Place dish on a sheet pan and bake in oven for 45 minutes.
  • Eat warm or cool to room temperature and garnish as directed below.
  • To garnish the cool oatmeal, whip heavy cream with sugar to stiff peaks.
  • Use a pastry bag fitted with a star tip to pipe a decorative border of whipped cream around the top of the oatmeal.
  • Evenly distribute sliced bananas and chocolate curls on top of whipped cream.
  • Refrigerate leftovers.
