Ingredients

  • 1 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
  • 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Combine flour, oats, brown sugar and butter in bowl.
  • Mix well.
  • Reserve 1/2 cup and press remaining oat mixture on bottom of 9 X 13 pan.
  • Bake 10 minutes.
  • Pour condensed milk on evenly over crust.
  • Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Top with remaining oat mixture.
  • Press down.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Store covered at room temperature.
