Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups Canola Or Corn Oil
  • 4 ounces, weight Squares Unsweetened Chocolate, Melted
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar, For Rolling

Method

  • Mix oil, melted chocolate, and sugar by hand or electric mixer. Blend in eggs, one at a time. Add other ingredients (except powdered sugar) and blend well.
  • Chill dough at least 6 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350F. Shape into balls and roll in powdered sugar. Bake for 12 -15 minutes. (Debbie's note: Cookies continue baking after removing from the oven. They are done when the center is still cake-like.)
  • Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
