Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
  • 2 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet pieces
  • 4 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • sweetened whipped cream
  • maraschino cherries
  • mint leaves
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 (8 oz.) sour cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/4 c. heavy or whipping cream
  • 1 1/4 (8 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate squares
  • 8 oz. white chocolate or 3 (3 oz.) confectioners bars or 1 1/2 (6 oz.) pkg. white baking bar

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Grease 9 x 3-inch spring-form pan.
  • In bowl, mix chocolate wafer crumbs and margarine.
  • Firmly press onto bottom of spring-form pan for crust.
  • Bake crust 12 to 15 minutes. Remove crust from oven.
  • Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  • Let stand until chocolate chips soften, then spread over crust.
  • Refrigerate while preparing filling.
