Ingredients

  • 1 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 c. shredded coconut
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. walnuts

Method

  • Combine crumbs, coconut and nuts.
  • Beat egg whites, salt and vanilla until frothy.
  • Gradually add sugar and beat until peaks. Fold graham cracker mixture into egg whites.
  • Spread in well-greased 9-inch pie pan or 10 x 6 x 1-inch pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Cool, cut and serve with any flavor ice cream. Serves 6 to 8.
