Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. noodles (4 c. cooked)
  • 1 Tbsp. butter, coat casserole
  • 1 lb. ground round (extra lean)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/3 c. minced green onion
  • 2 Tbsp. butter (again)
  • 1/2 lb. cottage cheese
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp. green pepper, minced

Method

  • Cook noodles, drain; brown meat, stir in tomato sauce and remove from heat.
  • Combine cheese, sour cream, onion and pepper. Layer noodles and then cheese, and then another layer of each.
  • Add butter and then meat mixture.
  • Chill several hours or make day before.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour, uncovered.
