- 1 pkg. noodles (4 c. cooked)
- 1 Tbsp. butter, coat casserole
- 1 lb. ground round (extra lean)
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/3 c. minced green onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter (again)
- 1/2 lb. cottage cheese
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1/4 c. sour cream
- 1 Tbsp. green pepper, minced
Method
- Cook noodles, drain; brown meat, stir in tomato sauce and remove from heat.
- Combine cheese, sour cream, onion and pepper. Layer noodles and then cheese, and then another layer of each.
- Add butter and then meat mixture.
- Chill several hours or make day before.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour, uncovered.
