Ingredients

  • 2 lb. fresh crabmeat
  • 2/3 c. sliced green onions
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. Louisiana hot sauce
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Method

  • Press crabmeat between paper towels to remove excess water out.
  • Combine crabmeat and green onions in a large bowl; set aside.
  • Combine cream cheese and next 6 ingredients.
  • Add to crabmeat and onion mixture, tossing to coat well.
  • Cover and chill 8 hours. Serve with assorted crackers.
  • Yields 4 1/2 cups.
