Ingredients
- 1 fryer chicken, cut up (3 or 4 lb.)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1 c. whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1 c. barbecue sauce
Method
- Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper.
- Brown in a skillet in butter.
- Place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
- Saute onion and celery in drippings until tender.
- Add cranberry sauce and barbecue sauce.
- Mix well.
- Pour over chicken.
- Bake uncovered at 350° for 1 1/2 hours, basting every 15 minutes.
