Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk chocolate chips

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Grease and flour jelly roll pan.
  • Prepare cake mix as directed on package.
  • Pour batter into pans.
  • Mix remaining ingredients.
  • Drop by tablespoonfuls onto batter.
  • Cut through batter with knife or metal spatula several times for marbled effect.
  • Sprinkle with additional chocolate chips and chopped nuts if desired.
  • Bake until cake springs back when touched lightly in center or when wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes.
