Ingredients

  • 3 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 3 walnut-size pieces of margarine or butter

Method

  • Stir sugar, milk and cocoa well. Cook to soft ball stage. While waiting for mixture to boil, get out three dinner plates. Put a walnut-size piece of oleo on each plate. Pour one third of cocoa mixture onto each plate. When somewhat cooled, use a knife and, with a whipping/folding motion, incorporate oleo into cocoa mixture. Stir until thick and satiny. Working quickly, drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper before fudge hardens.
