Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 6 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 10 oz. frozen peas
  • 8 1/2 oz. can pearl onions
  • 1 can onion rings
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper

Method

  • Saute mushrooms in the butter.
  • Blend in the flour, salt and pepper.
  • Add milk.
  • Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
  • Add cream cheese; stir until melted.
  • Stir in peas and onions.
  • Turn into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  • Bake at 425° for 25 minutes. Sprinkle onion rings over casserole.
  • Bake an additional 5 minutes.
