Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 3 to 4 large pieces celery, chopped
  • 2 to 3 large onions, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 2 to 3 cans tomato soup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Fry hamburger in patties as for regular hamburgers and drain. Combine cans of soup (add 3/4 can of water to each can of soup), onions, celery and green pepper.
  • Cook until onions, celery and green peppers are tender.
  • Crumble patties and add to soup mixture. Simmer on low until the mixture becomes thick.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Serve on slightly toasted open hamburger buns.
