- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. minced onion
- 2 c. minced celery
- 1/4 c. parsley sprigs
- 2 (8 ounce.) cans liquid removed mushrooms
- 12 - 13 c. slightly dry bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon dry thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon butter
- 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 c. chicken or possibly turkey broth with giblets
- 2 well beaten Large eggs
Method
- Heat butter, saute/fry onions.
- Pour over cubes.
- Add in remaining ingredients, adding broth last to moisten.
- Place in crock pot on high for 45 min.
- Reduce to low for 6 hrs.
- Freezes well.
