Ingredients

  • 5 13 tablespoons margarine
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 12 cup soymilk
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 12 cup chopped walnuts
  • 14 cup flour
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 14 teaspoon clove
  • 12 teaspoon allspice
  • 34 cup rolled oats

Method

  • Cream together the margarine and brown sugar.
  • Add the milk, dates, and walnuts and combine thoroughly.
  • In a sepatate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
  • Add the rolled oats to the dry ingredients and mix together.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the date mixture, mixing to combine thouroughly.
  • Spread in an 8-inch square pan.
  • Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
