Ingredients
- 3 lb. ground chuck or venison, browned and drained
- 1 large onion, chopped (also browned)
- 1 pkg. Durkee chili mix
- 3 large cans (24 oz.) whole tomatoes, chopped in blender
- 3 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans (undrained)
- 1 (16 oz.) can hot Mexican-style canned beans (undrained)
- 1 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 or 2 (8 oz.) canned mushrooms (optional)
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a big pot; stir well.
- Cover and simmer gently at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
