Ingredients

  • 6 roma tomatoes
  • 2 jalapeno peppers
  • 13 bunch cilantro
  • 1 large onion, halved
  • 1 can chili-ready tomatoes (or stewed)
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Method

  • boil tomatoes, peppers, onion, garlic, and 1/2 of the cilantro until tomatoes and onions are soft.
  • remove all vegetables from water and allow to cool enough to remove the skin from the tomotoes.
  • place vegetables, canned tomatoes, remaining cilantro, sugar, and salt in blender and puree until desired consistency.
  • allow to cool before putting in refrigerator.
