Ingredients
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. old-fashioned oatmeal
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Mix brown sugar, shortening, milk and vanilla.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Shape into 1-inch balls. Flatten with wet glass.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
