Ingredients
- 8 (1-inch) slices French bread
- 4 (1 oz.) slices Jack cheese
- 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley or 2 tsp. flakes
- 1/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
- parsley
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- In a small bowl, combine margarine and parsley.
- Spread on 1 side of each bread slice.
- Place, buttered side down, on ungreased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan or cookie sheet.
- Toast in 400° oven for 5 minutes, turning at end of 5 minutes.
- Cut cheese slices into 4 squares each.
- Place 2 slices on top of each bread slice.
- Bake 2 to 3 minutes more or until melted. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
- Yields 8 slices.
