Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (16 oz.) can hot chili beans (undrained)
  • 1 (1 3/4 oz.) pkg. chili seasoning mix
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. corn chips
  • 1 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 head lettuce, shredded
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • picante sauce
  • 1 c. grated cheese

Method

  • Cook ground beef in a large skillet until browned, stirring to crumble; drain well.
  • Combine ground beef, beans, water and seasoning mix.
  • Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat; reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes.
  • Cook rice according to package directions.
  • Set aside.
