Ingredients
- 2 doz. stale donuts
- milk
- cinnamon
- cornstarch
- butter
- 1 doz. eggs
- sugar
- raisins
- water
- vanilla
Method
- Break the donuts into pieces.
- Place in a buttered pan.
- Mix the eggs with enough milk to saturate the donuts.
- Add raisins, cinnamon and sugar to suit your taste.
- You can add chopped apples, if you prefer.
- Pour the liquid mixture over the donuts; the liquid will saturate the donuts.
- Set the pan inside another pan partially filled with water for a steam bath.
- Bake at 350° until knife will come out clean.
- This will probably take at least 1 hour or more for a large batch and 45 minutes for a family size serving.
- Let the pudding cool before serving.
