Ingredients
- 6 ears fresh corn
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. bacon grease
- sugar, salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Over a big bowl, cut the kernels off the ears of corn.
- Gently scrape the knife against the cobs to get the milky liquid to drip into bowl.
- Melt butter and bacon grease over medium heat in large skillet (cast-iron is best).
- Stir in corn.
- Simmer 8 to 10 minutes until tender.
- Stir frequently.
- If corn seems to be drying out, add a bit of hot water to keep it moist.
- Makes 4 servings.
