Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. flour
  • sugar
  • salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. butter, softened
  • 1 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • whipped cream or ice cream

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In large bowl, measure flour, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and next five ingredients.
  • With mixer, beat at low speed just until mixed.
  • Increase speed to medium and beat 4 minutes.
  • Pour into 8 x 8-inch square pan.
