Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUMBLE:
  • 1/2 cups All-purpose Gluten Free Flour Or Almond Flour
  • 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 dash Pumpkin Pie Spice (optional)
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1/2 cups Mixed Nuts, Chopped

  • FOR THE FRUIT MIXTURE:
  • 2 whole Apples, Peeled, Cored, Sliced
  • 1-1/2 cup Mixed Berries (blueberries And Raspberries)
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 whole Lemon (or Orange), Zested
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • To prepare the crumble, mix together flour, brown sugar, salt, and spices for the crumble. Cut in butter. Add chopped nuts and set aside (you can use any nuts-I used even amounts of slivered almonds and chopped walnuts).
  • For the fruit mixture. mix prepared apples and berries, add the lemon juice to the apples. Then add in sugar, honey, vanilla, zest and cornstarch and toss to coat well.
  • In a small to medium round or square baking dish, evenly disperse fruit mixture and top with the crumble mixture.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until fruit is bubbly and fruit is cooked through.
