- 12 slices bacon thick peppered,diced
- 3 each garlic cloves diced
- 2 cups onions diced
- 1/2 cup sweet red bell peppers diced
- 2 large anaheim chilies finely chopped
- 2 cans baked beans, canned 2 pound each, with bacon and brown sugar
- 1 can frijoles de olla 15 ounces, drained
- 5 each neem leaves crushed, or bay or curry leaf
- 1 tablespoon marjoram freshly chopped
- 2 tablespoons savory chopped
- 2 tablespoons thyme chopped
- 4 worcestershire sauce
- 1 each hot chili peppers diced
Method
- Melt bacon on low heat in a 6 quart or larger heavy pan.
- Pour off most of the fat.
- Add garlic, onion, red pepper, and anaheim chile.
- Cook on medium heat until onion is transparent.
- Add everything, stir, cook on low for 35 minutes, stirring often.
- Taste to see if a shot of Hot sauce would help.
