Ingredients

  • 12 slices bacon thick peppered,diced
  • 3 each garlic cloves diced
  • 2 cups onions diced
  • 1/2 cup sweet red bell peppers diced
  • 2 large anaheim chilies finely chopped
  • 2 cans baked beans, canned 2 pound each, with bacon and brown sugar
  • 1 can frijoles de olla 15 ounces, drained
  • 5 each neem leaves crushed, or bay or curry leaf
  • 1 tablespoon marjoram freshly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons savory chopped
  • 2 tablespoons thyme chopped
  • 4 worcestershire sauce
  • 1 each hot chili peppers diced

Method

  • Melt bacon on low heat in a 6 quart or larger heavy pan.
  • Pour off most of the fat.
  • Add garlic, onion, red pepper, and anaheim chile.
  • Cook on medium heat until onion is transparent.
  • Add everything, stir, cook on low for 35 minutes, stirring often.
  • Taste to see if a shot of Hot sauce would help.
