Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2/3 c. uncooked rice
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Velveeta
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Method
- Saute onion and celery in butter.
- Brown ground beef.
- Cook rice.
- Mix meat, rice and vegetables together.
- Add tomato sauce, sugar, salt and pepper.
- Put 1/2 of mixture in 9-inch pan.
- Cover with Velveeta slices.
- Repeat.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
