Ingredients

  • 12 slices white bread
  • 1 1/3 c. (6 oz.) cooked, diced chicken
  • 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) cooked, diced ham
  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 c. crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/3 c. mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp. finely chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 tsp. thinly sliced green onion tops
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper

Method

  • Spread bread with softened butter.
  • Mix together remaining ingredients.
  • Divide equally on unbuttered side of 6 slices of bread; top with 6 slices (1 each) Mozzarella cheese.
  • Top with other slices of bread, butter side out.
  • Grill on both sides until cheese starts to melt and bread is golden.
