Ingredients
- 7 lb. apples
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 1/2 c. honey
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
Method
- Wash and quarter apples.
- Cover with water.
- Add lemon juice and simmer until soft.
- Drain through jelly bag.
- Measure 4 cups juice into kettle and boil 5 minutes.
- Add honey and spices.
- Boil for 8 minutes more.
- Pour into sterilized jelly glasses and seal.
