Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Nestle Unsweetened Cocoa (you Can Add More Cocoa Powder If You Like A More Chocolatey Taste)
  • 1/2 cups Water (if You Adjust The Cocoa Make Sure You Adjust The Amount Of Water)
  • 1-1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Whipping Cream
  • 12 ounces, fluid Evaporated Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 gallon Milk (I Have Used Whole, 2%, 1.5%, 1% And Skim - All Good)

Method

  • 1. In a HUGE sauce pan, mix the cocoa powder and water until it makes kind of like a thick paste-you know, like syrup, so not too much water. You may not use the entire 1/2 cup of water but it is just a starting point. I'm horrible at measuring! Sorry!
  • 2. Once that is nice and "creamy," add the sugar, whipping cream, evaporated milk and heat until the sugar has dissolved.
  • 3. Add in the vanilla and dash of salt.
  • 4. Add in the gallon of milk and heat until it is the temperature you desire.
  • Note: keep the gallon, you'll want to put the leftovers back in it. This can last 7-10 days in the fridge. And it's great as cold chocolate milk as well!
