Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped
  • 1 3/4 c. hot water

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In 9 x 9-inch ungreased baking dish, stir together first 5 ingredients.
  • Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork until smooth.
  • Stir in pecans.
  • Stir together brown sugar and remaining cocoa; smooth over top of mixture in baking dish.
  • Pour hot water over all ingredients.
