Ingredients
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/3 c. warm water
- 2 tsp. oil
Method
- Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
- Add warm water and oil to flour, salt and baking powder.
- Dough should be soft but not sticky.
- Knead until smooth, not too much and don't use rolling pin.
- Tear off pieces about the size of a lemon.
- Pat and stretch until thin, about 1/4 to 1/2-inch.
- Poke hole in center with finger.
- Fry in hot deep fat (can use electric skillet).
- Fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Drain on paper towel.
