Ingredients
- 1 c. lukewarm milk
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 sq. yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 7 Tbsp. lard, melted (Wesson oil may be used)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 2/3 c. lukewarm milk
- 4 c. flour
Method
- Mix first four ingredients well and let rise to double size. Then add remaining ingredients.
- Mix all together and let stand about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Then mix real well; the more the dough is mixed, the smoother and easier to handle.
- Dust top well with flour and set in warm place to rise double again.
