Ingredients

  • 1 box lemon cake mix (not pudding in mix)
  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 c. pecan pieces
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 box confectioners sugar

Method

  • Mix the first 3 ingredients together.
  • Spread in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle the pecan pieces over mixture in pan.
  • Beat the cream cheese, eggs and confectioners sugar with mixer until creamy.
  • Pour over dough in pan.
  • Bake in a 325° preheated oven until brown, approximately 30 minutes.
  • Do not overbake.
