Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil or less
  • 3/4 c. chopped onions
  • 3/4 c. tomato catsup and tomato sauce (each)
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper and paprika
  • 1 c. black coffee (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • 1/3 stick margarine
  • about 10 lb. meat
  • 1 Tbsp. allspice, cloves and whole pepper
  • 1 whole onion, chopped
  • several cloves garlic
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 1 lemon

Method

  • Cook onions in oil until soft, then add all ingredients (except last 4 ) and cook (simmer) over charcoal for 30 minutes or more.
