Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. raw macaroni
  • 1/2 lb. medium sharp cheese
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. flour, slightly heaped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Cook macaroni in 4 cups boiling salted water.
  • Stir often to prevent sticking.
  • When tender, add cheese and margarine to drained macaroni.
  • Beat eggs well; add milk and flour, using a wire whisk to dissolve lumps.
  • Put macaroni mixture in a greased casserole dish.
  • Pour milk and egg mixture over macaroni.
  • Bake at 400° until "set" and slightly browned on top.
