Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 c. milk
  • 16 oz. Velveeta cheese
  • 2 1/2 c. elbow macaroni

Method

  • Boil noodles according to package; drain and pour into casserole dish.
  • Melt butter; add flour and mix well.
  • Add milk and mix over low to medium heat until thick and bubbly.
  • Add cheese and continue to heat until all cheese is melted.
  • Must stir constantly as mixture burns easily.
  • Salt and pepper to taste. Pour cheese mixture over noodles and bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes until brown.
  • For a spicier flavor, use Mexican Velveeta.
