Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper seeded and diced
  • 1/4 cup onion minced
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 egg beaten
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 6 bacon strips

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Add the ground beef, bell pepper, onion, oats, breadcrumbs, tomato sauce, egg, and a pinch of salt and black pepper to a bowl. Mix well using your hands. If the mixtures comes out to be too moist, add more bread crumbs.
  • Place the bacon on the bottom of a baking dish, Add the ground beef mixture on top of the bacon. Spread it out evenly.
  • Add the baking dish to the oven for 40 minutes.
  • Remove the oven from the oven and cool for 10 minutes before serving.
