Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 14 cup onion
- 2 eggs
- 14 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
- 1 cup flour
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
Method
- In a large bowl add your sausage, ricotta cheese, onion, and 1 egg.
- Combine everything together and roll meat mixture into balls.
- I think bite size smaller ones are best.
- Set up a dredging station with Flour, remaining egg (mixed with 1 tablespoon of water), and breadcrumbs.
- Rolls meatballs in flour mixture, the into the egg mixture, and then finally into the breadcrumb mixture.
- In a large skillet at your vegetable oil and put in a medium -medium high heat.
- MAKE SURE YOUR OIL IS HEATED THROUGH BEFORE YOU ADD YOUR MEATBALLS.
- IF YOU DON'T YOUR MEATBALLS WILL BE SOGGY!
- Add your meatballs once your oil is heated up.
- It takes about 10 minutes for your meatballs to cook all of the way (size of your meatballs will affect cook time.
- The smaller they are the less time you will need).
- Your meatballs should have a nice golden crisp crust on them.
- If you are cooking on a medium heat your meatballs should be completely done by the time your crust is beautifully crisp and crunchy.
- Just make sure you keep moving the meatballs for EQUAL cooking.
