Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 14 cup onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 14 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Method

  • In a large bowl add your sausage, ricotta cheese, onion, and 1 egg.
  • Combine everything together and roll meat mixture into balls.
  • I think bite size smaller ones are best.
  • Set up a dredging station with Flour, remaining egg (mixed with 1 tablespoon of water), and breadcrumbs.
  • Rolls meatballs in flour mixture, the into the egg mixture, and then finally into the breadcrumb mixture.
  • In a large skillet at your vegetable oil and put in a medium -medium high heat.
  • MAKE SURE YOUR OIL IS HEATED THROUGH BEFORE YOU ADD YOUR MEATBALLS.
  • IF YOU DON'T YOUR MEATBALLS WILL BE SOGGY!
  • Add your meatballs once your oil is heated up.
  • It takes about 10 minutes for your meatballs to cook all of the way (size of your meatballs will affect cook time.
  • The smaller they are the less time you will need).
  • Your meatballs should have a nice golden crisp crust on them.
  • If you are cooking on a medium heat your meatballs should be completely done by the time your crust is beautifully crisp and crunchy.
  • Just make sure you keep moving the meatballs for EQUAL cooking.
