Ingredients

  • 250 g ground sausage
  • 250 g minced steak
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon rind
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • 14 cup parsley, chopped
  • 14 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 14 cup mint jelly
  • 1 tablespoon French dressing
  • 2 teaspoons chopped mint or 12 teaspoon dried mint leaf

Method

  • combine all the ingredients, mix well.
  • shape tablespoonfuls of mixture into flat rolls around the end of 20 soaked wooden skewers.
  • cover, refrigerate 30 min.
  • barbecue until kebabs are browned all over and cooked thoroughly.
  • Mint Dip: combine jelly and dressing in a pan, stir over low heat until jelly is melted, stir in mint.
