Ingredients
- 1 34 cups milk
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 cup half-and-half
- 2 egg yolks, large
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon Kahlua
- 2 tablespoons dark chocolate shavings
Method
- Bring milk to a boil on medium.
- Combine sugar, cornstarch, coffee and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine half and half and egg yolks and stir into sugar mixture whisking constantly then into the milk and simmer 1 minute or until thick, whisking constatnly.
- Remove from heat and stir in butter and Kahlua.
- Pour into a bowl in a larger ice filled bowl for 15 minutes until cool, stirring occasionally.
- Cover the surface with plastic wrap and chill.
- Serve with dark chocolate shavings on top.
