Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts or equal parts (legs, thighs, etc.)
  • 2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt or 1 clove fresh minced garlic
  • 1/4 c. water

Method

  • Wash chicken and pat dry.
  • In electric or regular frying pan, combine all ingredients, then add chicken.
  • Cook, uncovered, over medium heat, turning to brown evenly.
  • Cook for 35 to 40 minutes, or until tender.
  • Remove to platter.
  • Skim off oil.
  • Add a little water and stir to loosen brownings.
  • Pour sauce over chicken and serve.
