Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine (room temperature)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Method

  • Put all ingredients except pie filling in mixing bowl.
  • Beat with electric mixer on slow until mixed, then beat on high until light and fluffy.
  • Put half the batter in a 9 x 13-inch greased cake pan.
  • Spread pie filling on top of batter. Take rest of batter and spoon on lattice fashion.
  • Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
